Hello Cuckoos,
You may have already heard my attempt to crawl into an even smaller niche than the one I already occupy, I'm ambitious that way.. and I've arranged a generous selection of links below to stream my latest effort Colourfield - Prelude. I could spin a fantastical yarn about how I lost my voice after a severe fright at the hands or paws of a wild animal whilst recording another breakup album in remote Alaska, or that the pressures of showbusiness left me a drug addled void incapable of a single sausage like string of words, or even that I suffer a rare phobia of words that rhyme in time, thus rendering my songwriting prowess limp, but I simply fancied a new challenge and a change of scenery.
The album Colourfield will be released July 24th on Village Green Recordings. They've parted with a kidney to produce a glorious slab of vinyl (I offered my kidney of course, but it wasn't up to scratch) and I'm excited for you to hear it. I'm not sure if it's the misguided excitement of pooping in the bathtub, or the genuine excitement of sharing something I hadn't planned or expected to do.. I dare say time will reveal.
